“Prunelle” brooch

Musée d’Orsay Jewellery Collection
Marine de Diesbach works with antique drop-forged bases (brass pieces pressed into a mould). Once cut, she brings them together, reforms them into necklaces, rings and bracelets, before coating them with a layer of coloured enamel.

Mounted asymmetrically, her creations hark back to the sophistication of the 1920s Art Nouveau period, with an added touch of poetic modernity.

For the Musée d’Orsay, Marine de Diesbach presents the Prunelle line, based on the aesthetic of curved lines and shapes found in nature, and the Aurore line, inspired by Art Deco, with simple and dynamic geometric shapes.
